I believe I will be taking influence from the fashion of psychedelic bands from the 1960s, as can be seen in my PhotoPeach slideshow. For a lot of bands, the fashion they adopted featured bright colors and were very extravagant, with paisley shirts, satin trousers, ascots, etc. This recognizable style distinguished them from the bands that played different genres of music at the time.

     Modern day music videos still use extravagant costumes, but of a different style to psychedelic bands of the 1960s. Many bands today play in plain clothes, a far cry from the fashion of the 1960s. Some performers today push the boundaries of fashion, notably Lady Gaga, who has worn costumes such as a meat dress and a frog jacket. 

     For my music video, I believe I will embrace the extravagant fashion of 1960s psychedelic bands, but in a modern setting (mainly due to the fact that an older setting would be harder to achieve). My actor will be wearing items such as a paisley shirt, an ascot around the neck and chelsea boots. I am undecided about the trousers, but I feel I will go with skinny jeans, as these were available in the 1960s. This might give the effect of a modern/old fashion statement, fused together in a unique style.
